Indian Air Force had released a notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)-01/2017. The AFCAT-01/2017 will be commenced in January 2018 for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) vacancies. The application forms are available from 03rd December to 29th December 2016. The aspirants can check the eligibility criteria before applying for the post. The online application filing steps are given in the notice below. Selection Process for AFCAT 1 2017

The selection of above posts involves Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) will be conducted on 26th February 2017. The candidates qualified in written test will have 3 stages of selection.

Stage 1: Screening Test & Document Verification.

Stage 2: Psychological, Group Test & Interview.

For Flying Branch: Computerized  Pilot Selection System(CPSS). This is the lifetime test. Once a candidate failed in CPSS will not eligible for applying.

AFCAT Flying Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The age limit required to apply for flying post will be min 20 to max 24 years. For ground duty, posts candidate should have age boundaries of 20 to 26.

Pay Scale & Allowances

  • Flying Branch: Rs.82050/-.
  • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: Rs.71550/-
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: Rs.68550/-.

Training Details

The selected candidates will have training from the first week of January 2018. The training period for flying & ground duty(technical) posts is 74 weeks & for ground duty,is(non-technical) job are 52 weeks.

Online Application Starting Date: 03rd December 2016.

Last Date to Apply Online: 29th December 2016.

Written Test(EKT) Date: 26th February 2017.
